Cerebrovascular and Cardiovascular Disorders.

Meeting Objetives:

1. Presentation and discussion of the magnitude, impact and priority of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders, as well as possible co-operation with projects and programs of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) in this field.
2. Discuss effective intervention strategies for the primary and secondary prevention of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular disorders;
3. Seek partnerships amongst public and private institutions, locally and nationally, for the dissemination of intervention proposals, involving the Brazilian Ministry of Health, PAHO and WHO.
4. Seek collaboration with State and Municipal Secretaries of Health for compatibility and synergism with existing programs as well as extension of the well succeeded experiences in this field;
5. Establishment of a network for interchange, observation and expansion of projects for the prevention and control of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular disorders.
